Porsche 918 Spyder production ends
Porsche has announced that production of the 918 Spyder has ended. The car has been in production for 21 months.
The 918 Spyder first debuted as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010 and it finally went into production in late 2013. Porsche has built 918 units of the hybrid supercar.
The 918 Spyder had done a 6.57 lap time on the Nurburgring making it the fastest production car with global homologation. With combined output, the 918 Spyder develops 887 horsepower. Its fuel efficient too needing only 3 litres of fuel for every
100 kms.
Porsche has confirmed that a successor to the 918 Spyder is being planned, but launch is still some time away.
