Mahindra has launched the new Treo Zor electric 3 wheeler with prices starting at Rs. 2.73 lakh. The Treo Zor is based on the Treo platform and will come in 3 variants – Pickup, Delivery Van and Flat Bed. It will be available at Mahindra small commercial vehicle dealerships in select cities across India starting December 2020.
The Treo Zor is powered by an 8 kW IP67 rated electric motor that generates 42 Nm and comes mated to an automatic transmission. The Treo has a certified range of 125 km on a single charge, and can e charged by plugging it into a 15 AMP socket. The Treo comes with a payload capacity of 550 kg.
Highlight features include Telematics unit and GPS, Windscreen and wiping system, Spare wheel provision, Driving modes – FNR (Forward, Neutral, Reverse), Economy and boost mode, Lockable glove box, 12 V Socket, 15-amp off-board charger, Hazard indicator, Reverse Buzzer.
Thanks to the NEMO connectivity platform, one can get cloud-based connectivity to remotely monitor vehicle range, speed, location and much more.
Mahindra says that, when compared to diesel powered cargo 3-wheelers, customers can save Rs. 2.10 / km in fuel costs, translating to savings of Rs. 60,000 yearly. The vehicle comes with a 3-year / 80,000 km warranty.
