The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe 4Matic+ has been launched at Rs 1.20 crore. ex showroom India (except Kerala). It is the first 53 Series AMG to launch in India replaces the first gen GLE 43 Coupe that was on sale earlier.
The AMG GLE 53 Coupe is powered by a 3.0 litre inline six cylinder twin turbo petrol engine that develops 435 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque. It also features the mild hybrid EQ Boost system that adds up to 22 hp and 250 Nm of torque when driven hard. The engine is mated to a 9 speed automatic gearbox that send power to all four wheels via the 4Matic all wheel drive system AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL+ with active roll stabilization system. There are 7 drive modes on offer as well. It goes from 0-100 kph in 5.3 seconds while the top speed is limited to 250kph.
On the exterior, the AMG GLE 53 Coupe features Multibeam LED headlamps, Panamericana front grille with 15 vertical slats, 21 inch alloy wheels, turbo badging and an AMG Sports exhaust system. t is offered in eight exterior colours – Brilliant Blue, Cavanstic Blue, Emerald Green, Hyacinth Red, Mojave Silver, Obsidian Black, Polar White and Selenite Grey.
On the interior, there are two 12.3 inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. THE AMG GLE 53 Coupe is the first AMG in India to get the MBUX system with ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice command. Other AMG features includes the AMG Sports Steering Wheel, ventilated front seats, Burmester Sound System and Nappa leather upholstery.
The AMG GLE 53 Coupé is equipped with Mercedes Me connect that offers multiple convenient connect features like remote engine start, remote lock/unlock, car locator, speed monitor, emergency e-Call which are accessible from the customer’s smart phone/tablet
Safety features include 9 airbags, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Blind Spot indicator, AMG brake system and Magic Vision Control.
