The Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV has topped Global NCAP’s six year safety ratings. This makes it the safest among all the Indian vehicles tested for safety between 2014 and 2020.
The XUV300 achieved the highest combined occupant safety rating, with a 5-Star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and a 4-Star rating for child occupant protection, the latter being a first in India. It scored 16.42 out of 17 for adult occupant protection and 37.44 out of 49 for child occupant protection.
There are 50 safety features on the Mahindra XUV300, including some segment firsts include 7 airbags, all around disc brakes, front parking sensors and heated ORVMs.
The Mahindra XUV300 is powered by a 1.5 litre diesel engine putting out 117 hp and 300 Nm of torque and a 1.2 litre turbo petrol with 110 hp and 200 Nm. A six speed manual gearbox is standard with both engines, while the diesel gets thr choice of a 6 speed AMT as well.
