Tata Motors has rolled out the 10,000th Nexon from the Ranjangaon plant at Pune within 2 months of launch. The Nexon is Tata’s first entry into the compact SUV segment.

The Tata Nexon is a compact SUV that is powered by a 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine and a 1.5 litre Revotorq diesel engine both developing 110 horsepower. As of now only a six speed manual is offered but an AMT is slated for a launch soon.

Features in the Tata Nexon include a 6.5 inch touch screen for the infotainment system, climate control, rear AC vents, 8 speaker Harman sound system, Android Auto, projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, 16-inch alloys, rear parking camera, driver’s seat height adjust, a smart key with push-button start and a dual-tone roof.

Dual airbags and ABS are standard across all variants.

The Nexon rivals the Ford Ecosport and Maruti Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.
