The 2021 MG Hector facelift has launched with prices starting at Rs. 12.90 lakh ex showroom India. MG has also launched the 7 seater version of the Hector Plus at a starting price of Rs. 13.35 lakh ex showroom India.
The 2021 MG Hector and Hector Plus come with a number of cosmetic updates. There is a new diamond stud front grille, new design 18 inch alloy wheels, new front and rear skid plates. At the rear, the red reflector between the tail lamps has been replaced by a black trim element.
Features wise the 2021 Hector and the 6 seater Hector Plus get features like wireless charging, ventilated front seats and an auto dimming IRVM. The updated Hector also gets dual tone interiors in a combination of champagne and black.
The biggest update is to the iSmart infotainment system. The voice assistant can now recognise & respond to 35+ Hinglish commands that control various in-car functions such as Sunroof (“Khul Ja Sim Sim”), FM (“FM Chalao”), AC (“Temperature Kam kar do”) etc.
There are no changes to the engine line up of the MG Hector. It continues to be offered with a 143 hp 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine, one configuration with a mild hybrid system and a 2.0 litre diesel engine developing 170 hp. A six speed manual gearbox is standard across the engine range, while the 1.5 litre non hybrid petrol gets the option of a 7 speed dual clutch automatic.
The updated MG Hector range comes within 18 months of the Hector first launching in India.
