The 2021 Audi A4 has been launched in India at Rs. 42.34 lakh for the Premium Plus and Rs. 46.67 lakh for the Technology variant. The facelift A4 comes with a number of updates.
The A4 gets a new wider single frame grille, new LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, 17 inch alloy wheels, new front and rear bumpers and new LED tail lamps.
Inside, the cabin is similar to the previous car. Features include a new 10.1 inch Touchscreen with the new MMI infotainment, Virtual Cockpit, Wireless Charging, Ambient lighting, Audi Sound system, electric sunroof and memory function for the electric front seats.
The biggest change is under the hood. The A4 comes with a new BS 6 compliant 2.0 litre four cylinder TFSI turbo petrol engine that develops 190 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It replaces the 150 hp 1.4 litre engine that came in the earlier model. The engine comes mated to a 7 speed DSG gearbox that send power to the front wheels. There is no diesel engine option as Audi is focussed on petrol engines and electrification going forward.
The Audi A4 comes in 5 colour options and comes bundled with a 4 year comprehensive service package that includes extended warranty and Road Side Assistance.
The Audi A4 competes with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE and the BMW 3-Series. It will also face competition from the soon to launch new Volvo S6 and BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine.
