2020 Mahindra Thar Verdict
The 2020 Mahindra Thar has grown up to be a mature all around package, without moving away from its core values of being an invincible off-roader. The new features and creature comforts have broadened its appeal to be an SUV that you can use every day. The addition of the automatic gearbox and the petrol engine is a big USP in my opinion. The trim levels on offer will keep both, the hardcore off-road enthusiasts and those who want a statement making lifestyle vehicle happy. Pricing is going to be crucial, and it’s a given that it will be substantially more expensive than the model it replaces, Mahindra needs to hit that sweet spot on October 2nd 2020 when prices will be announced. Going from the responses I got from onlookers on the road during the drive, Mahindra does have a potential winner on its hands. There is nothing like it on the road today and I already am dreaming of a petrol automatic with a hard top. It put a huge grin on my face when I drove it and hope that grin stays when I see the prices. As they say.. the King is dead, long live the King.
