2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport Interior

What’s it like inside? Well for starters, the rising rotary gear dial that added some theatrics is replaced by a conventional gear stick. The S variant gets a semi digital instrument cluster while the R Dynamic SE gets a fully digital one. The S also misses out on the ‘ClearSight’ rear view camera. There is a new interface for the 10 inch touch screen infotainment system and the black centre console below features dials for the dual zone climate control. The Terrain Response modes can also be controlled via these dials. Other goodies include a 360 degree camera, wireless charging for smartphones, a 180 W sound system and a fixed panoramic sunroof. The dual tone interiors give the cabin a very airy feel and there are soft touch surfaces at places. The quality of materials also feel better in this new version. The steering wheel also feels premium with the touch controls and is nice to hold.

The front and rear seats offer adequate comfort though they are on the firmer side. There is good space at the rear and the rear seats can be adjusted for legroom, and have a reclining back rest as well. Under thigh support could have been better if the seat base was longer. One USP of the Discovery Sport is the 5+2 seating option. The third row is best suited for kids, while a couple of  medium height adults could manage for a short trip.
