The Land Rover Discovery Sport has been around for four years now is the entry level SUV to the Land Rover model range. Having replaced the Freelander 2, the Discovery Sport has done well for itself in India. We were very impressed with it when we drove it first back in 2016. What we have here is the 2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport in HSE trim, and while it might look similar to the one we drove earlier, the significant change here is under the bonnet. Let’s get into the details.
2019 Land Rover Discovery Sport Exterior
If you are someone who appreciates, subtle design, the Discovery Sport will surely catch your fancy. There is nothing flashy about the styling, something that holds true with the Evoque. Up front, you get the grille finished in matte silver along with xenon headlamps and signature LED daytime running lamps. The front bumper gets slim fog lamps enclosed in a black housing. The clamshell bonnet has very muscular feel to it and features the trademark ‘Discovery’ badging at the front. Moving on to the side, you get 18-inch alloy wheels that look pretty ordinary. Land Rover could have opted for a better design on this HSE. The ORVMs are finished in black and the black contrast roof looks great. A Land Rover badge finds place on the C pillar. At the rear, there are LED signature tail lamps and the Discovery badging under the windshield on the tailgate. The rear bumper gets a skid plate as well.
