2017 Toyota Prius launched in India at Rs. 38.96 lakh

The 2017 Toyota Prius has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 38.96 lakh ex showroom Delhi. The car will be sold as a CBU.

The fourth generation Prius is based Toyota’s TNGA (Toyota New Generation Architecture). Power comes from a 1.8 litre petrol engine combined with an electric motor. The car features a regenerative braking system that collects energy to charge the battery every time you brake. Total power output stands at 122 horsepower. The car also comes with driving modes.

Features on the new Prius include heated front seats, leather upholstery, touch screen infotainment system, dual zone climate control, HUD and a 10 speaker JBL sound system.

Safety features comprise of ABS, seven airbags, stability control and traction control.

Toyota’s hybrid line up in India also includes the Camry Hybrid, which is locally assembled
