The 2017 Land Rover Discovery has been spied inside out prior to its September 28th reveal. The new Land Rover Discovery will make its global debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. These pictures show the SUV with minimal camouflage.
There is an aggressive front bumper with the prominent Land Rover grille. Styling cues from the Range Rover is easily noticeable. The new design is a complete departure from the boxy styling of the current Discovery SUV. The new SUV is expected to be lighter than the current model as well, because it will the aluminium architecture used in the Range Rover. There are no other details or technical specifications revealed at this point but the 2.0 litre Ingenium engines are expected to make its way into the new Discovery. Expect 3.0 litre V6 petrol and diesel engines as well. Since Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicles Operations has a big hand in the development of the new Discovery, we hope to see an SVO version of the new Discovery as well
The new Land Rover Discovery is expected to be priced higher than the current model and could go closer to Range Rover territory. The new Discovery will land on Indian shores sometime in 2017.
